The Nielsen PPM Presentation You Need to Watch

We’ve mentioned the presentation that Dr. Barry Blesser of 25-Seven gave at the Las Vegas NAB convention. Now you have a chance to watch his talk in its entirety.

In it he explains watermarking systems like PPM and the potential problems watermarking can have in the real world.

In a half hour you’ll learn more about PPM than you’ve learned in eight years of Arbitron and Nielsen presentations. If you compete in a PPM market, you need to watch this.

Warning: It is a technical presentation delivered during the engineering lecture track so you may get lost from time to time. At least make your engineer watch it and then explain it to you.

There's a rumor that Nielsen had an opportunity to share the stage with Dr. Blesser but declined to participate. Once you watch the presentation, you'll know why.

If PPM is as broken as y'all claim, throwing $15k per station at it isn't going to fix it.
